I met a man from Ethiopia

Painting of the Italo-Abyssinian War
To my knowledge there's only one nation in all of Africa whose colonization by European forces was short-lived.

Ethiopia, a country rich in its antiquity, was ruled by Italy for a short period between 1938-40 until it won its independence again with the help of the British and French. Today, we know this land to be the birth place of modern humans.  According to the National Genographic Project, the mtDNA found in women there, the L3 Haplogroup, is reported to have "given birth", more than 80,000 years ago, to Europeans and Asian ethnic groups of today...So imagine how thrilled I was today to meet a young man from Ethiopia who carries within him the genetic material that is attributed to all humans in existence. Well when I expressed my excitement about this wonderful discovery...He said,
"that is not true.  Adam and Eve were the first people..."
I guess it is true, you don't have to kill the body if you can first conquer the mind.
